Consultation
Start with a consultation with one of our licensed loan originators. There’s no commitment, and the consultation can be as simple as a 10-minute phone call. The person you talk to can walk you through your entire loan process.
During this initial consultation, we want to learn about your goals. Everyone is different. Some people might be looking for an investment property or a refinance. Others may be looking for a home for their family. We like to gather as much information as possible so we can guide you through our application process.

2. Application
Application
It’s easy to get started—the first step is to put in an application for your loan. During the application, our goal is to identify whether you qualify for a mortgage. Don’t worry—if for any reason you don’t qualify, we’ll help you identify the next steps to becoming eligible so you can apply again soon.
All we need for a loan application is a bit of personal information, such as your name, date of birth, and employment information. As a federally-credentialed mortgage banker, we access and store your information securely, and will ever only use it for your application.
The application process only takes about ten minutes. In fact, we can even put in the application for you via phone. You will know whether you are approved very soon! Sometimes approval is immediate, but some employment situations may require us to get a little bit more information after the application. We will follow up with you within the day to let you know what we need.

Once you’ve submitted your application, we’re ready to submit a pre-approval. Your pre-approval will tell us how much you can borrow. Many mortgage companies stop there, simply submitting and processing the loan. However, as a relationship-oriented company, we’re determined to work with you every step of the way.
To larger companies, you may be just a number, but we want to hear about your personal goals. We’ll work hard to make sure that your approval items match your goals and that we give you the best rate possible. Big companies offer a teaser rate, then suck you in with fees. With us, you’ll get no fluffed up fees or confusing discount points. We don’t bait and switch. We need to trust our customers because we work with them over the long-term. Large companies that rely on a churn-and-burn model are not incentivized towards honesty. They are transactional, we’re relationship based.

We want to make sure your home-buying experience is painless. Not only do we offer competitive rates and competitive closing costs—we’ll stay in contact with you throughout the shopping process. We want to know if you’re able to find the home of your dreams—and we’re excited to hear about it when you do! We know the Michigan market well, and we’d love to offer any advice or help you need.
With our buyers, we’re in constant communication during the closing. There are several items we’ll need to work together on—including figuring out your cash to close and reviewing your final closing numbers. Once you’ve got the sale closed, we’d love to take a few moments to celebrate with you—whether that’s with champagne or simply a virtual high five over the phone!
